Ken Ginsburg MD returns to the Glenbard Parent Series for a live stream webinar on Wednesday, June 17 at 7pm titled Building Resilience in These Uncertain Times.

Dr, Ginsburg returns to the Glenbard Parent Series in conversation with all our community and area superintendents, to answer questions and discuss strategies to strengthen emotional health in our children and ourselves. Participants will learn how to enhance empathy, understanding and build inner strength.

This special event is in partnership with Glenbard feeder elementary districts 15, 16, 41, 44, 89, and 93 and will be streamed on the Glen Ellyn District 41 YouTube. A special thanks to Glen Ellyn School District 41 for hosting and DuPage County Prevention and Leadership Team for sponsoring. Superintendents scheduled to appear: Glenbard D87 Dr. David Larson, Glen Ellyn School District 41 Dr. Melissa Kaczkowski, Marquardt D15 Dr. Jerry O’Shea, Queen Bee School District 16, Dr. Joseph Williams, Lombard School District 44 Dr. Ted Stec, Community Consolidated School District 89 Dr. Emily Tammaru, and Community Consolidated School District 93 Dr David Hill.

Dr Ginsburg will speak for 35 minutes, and then answer parents’ questions sent in advance to Gilda Ross at [email protected] . Area superintendents will moderate the discussion.

Dr. Ken Ginsburg is a pediatrician specializing in Adolescent Medicine at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and a Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He practices social adolescent medicine — medicine with special attention to prevention and the recognition that social context and stressors affect all aspects of our health. His research over the last 25 years has focused on facilitating youth to develop their own solutions to social problems and to teach clinicians how to better serve them Dr. Ginsburg has more than 150 publications, five best -selling books, internet-based productions, and he has received over 50 awards recognizing his research, clinical skills, or advocacy efforts.  He is the author of Building Resilience in Children and Teens: Giving Kids Roots and Wings, Reaching Teens Strength-Based Communication Strategies To Build Resilience and Support Healthy Adolescent Development and Raising Kids to Thrive: Balancing Love with Expectations and Protection with Trust.
