The Glenbard Parent Series will host a wellness expo on Wednesday, Nov. 16, at Glenbard West High School in Glen Ellyn.
From 6:15 p.m. to 7 p.m. area health vendors and organizations showcase their services. The expo will include free health assessments, prizes, giveaways, tastes of healthy food and more. Flu Shots will be available for a reduced price of $20.00 and free for Medicare B and some insurance plans.
Following the expo, author Julie Lythcoth-Haims will present How To Raise an Adult: Break Free of the Overparenting Trap and Prepare Your Kid For Success at 7:00p.m. This Stanford University dean will share strategies for a compassionate and informed approach to fostering children and teens who can meet the challenges of life independently and confidently.
