GPS is an educational consortium dedicated to presenting distinguished, engaging speakers who share their knowledge, cutting-edge research and life experiences. In doing this, we provide opportunities to inspire and enrich families as well as build strong communities that are both proactive and informed.
Our mission is to enhance our students’ social and emotional learning, encourage responsible decision-making, foster positive growth and development, and promote respectful relationships in school and the community at large.
The powerful Glenbard Parent Series is a nationally recognized, unique, extraordinary resource for parents, educators and community members to encourage conversation around the opportunities and issues facings families today.
Please join us for the free forums hosted at Glenbard West, East, North, and South high schools, the Community Consolidated School District 93 Administration Center, Marquardt School District 15 Administration Center and the McAninch Arts Center (MAC) at the College of DuPage.
Programs are offered free of charge, no registration is required and all are welcome.
Students, parents (elementary and high school) school staff and professionals are welcome to attend, strengthening home and community partnerships in pursuit of our mutual goals to inspire, empower and succeed.

It’s never too early—or too late—to explore your options. These programs will walk you through some key steps in preparing for college and provide resources that can help you along the way. We’re here to help you you understand college costs, assist with financial and academic planning, and plan for life after high school.
All are welcome to attend. Programs are presented in English and Spanish. Free continental breakfast and childcare provided.
Serie Navegando los Niveles Avanzados de Educacion – Todos los padres de familia son bienvenidos para participar en estas series de presentaciones. Las presentaciones son tanto en Ingles como en Español. Ofreceremos desayuno continental y cuidado de niños gratis.
Buscamos atraer e involucrar a las familias hispanas pertenecientes a la comunidad de la Escuela Glenbard, con el fin de engrandecer los ambientes educativos, así como ofrecer oportunidades de socialización y educación para nuestros estudiantes hispanos. Valoramos la educación, la familia, así como cualquier colaboración que apoye a la comunidad hispana.
OBJETIVOS: (1) Educar a los padres en temas clave que pueden afectar el éxito académico; (2) Proveer de recursos necesarios para el éxito académico; (3) Fortalecer, equipar y educar a los padres sobre su rol como autodefensores; (4) Apoyar el éxito en programas académicos a través de los procesos de colaboración dentro del distrito, escuela y comunidad.
ROL COMO ENLACE PARA PADRES: (1) Apoyar al personal de la escuela en la coordinación de sesiones de entrenamientos y talleres de trabajo para padres; (2) Reclutar padres y miembros de la comunidad para participar en las sesiones del Consejo de Educación Escolar y Consejo de Educación; (3) Crear y mantener la relación entre la comunidad y las escuelas, con el fin de incluir organizaciones basadas en la fe, negocios y organizaciones sin fines de lucro que ofrezcan servicios necesarios para las familias; (4) Colaborar con el personal y administrativos de las escuelas para apoyarlos en la resolución de las preocupaciones que puedan los padres de familia.
We hope all parents, guardians and students can join us for the free FUSE events -all are welcome. FUSE will offer a scholarship to a deserving student whose family is able to attend all four FUSE events this year and who become active in FUSE and their school community. Join us and enjoy free raffles provided at all FUSE meetings.
FUSE MISSION: Involve and engage all parents within the Glenbard Community to enhance the learning environments, social involvement and educational opportunities of all African American students.
GOALS: (1) Educate parents on key issues that affect academic success; (2) Provide resources necessary for academic success; (3) Empower, equip and educate parents on becoming self advocates; (4) Encourage success in school programs through a collaborative process within the district, school and community.
PARENT OUTREACH ROLE: (1) Assist school staff in coordinating parent training sessions and workshops; (2) Recruit parents and community members to participate on School Board Committees and the Board of Education; (3) Create and foster community relationships with schools to include faith-based organizations, businesses and non-profit organizations that offer services to meet the needs of families; (4) Collaborate with school staff and administrators and assist in resolving parent concerns.
