A child’s social and emotional skills in kindergarten might be the biggest predictor of success in adulthood. However, many young people have a hard time handling their strong emotions – whether it is anger, anxiety, or sadness. Coping mechanisms for young people can help with these struggles. This Early Child presentation will expand upon the skills children already have in place to help them handle these strong feelings and will share a foundation designed to assist young people in developing the skills that work for them, so they can interact with their world and their peers in a healthy, happy way.
