We regret that this event with Francesca Gino has been postponed.  ALL Glenbard Parent Series programs are postponed until further notice. We apologize for this inconvenience.  Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Rebels, often seen as “troublemakers,’ are those colleagues, friends, and family members who complicate seemingly straightforward decisions and create generalized chaos when everyone else is in agreement. But in truth, rebels can also be the individuals who change the world for the better with their unconventional outlooks. Instead of clinging to what is safe and familiar, and falling back on routines and tradition, rebels defy the status quo. They are masters of innovation and reinvention, and they have a lot to teach us.

Harvard Business School Professor Francesca Gino is an award-winning researcher who focuses on why people make the decisions they do, and how to make those decisions stick – allowing each of us to reach our intended goals and achieve more productive lives. Professor Gino argues that the future belongs to the rebel — and that there’s a rebel in each of us. We live in turbulent times, when competition is fierce, reputations are easily tarnished on social media, and the world is more divided than ever before. In this cutthroat environment, cultivating rebel talent leads to a more vital, engaged, and fulfilling life.

Professor Francesca Gino is the Tandon Family Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School and the author of books including “Rebel Talent: Why it Pays to Break the Rules in Work and Life.” She has been honored as one of the world’s Top 40 Business Professors under 40 and one of the world’s 50 most influential management thinkers by Thinkers 50. Professor Gino has won numerous awards for her teaching , and her studies have also been featured in many national publications including The New York Times, Newsweek, Scientific American, Psychology Today, and The Wall Street Journal, and her work has been discussed on National Public Radio and CBS Radio.

This free event is open to the public. Students are encouraged to attend.  Glenbard school staff will hear Dr Gino during the day.

Continuing professional development units are available.
